Czym jest łożysko wałeczkowe walcowe?

Łożyska wałeczkowe walcowe charakteryzują się wysoką obciążalnością promieniową i przeciętną odpornością na obciążenia oporowe. Posiadają wałeczki o kształcie walcowym, które jednak nie są prawdziwymi cylindrami. Zamiast tego, ich konstrukcja jest baryłkowata lub otwarta na końcu, dzięki czemu redukuje spiętrzenia naprężeń. Efektem tej szczególnej geometrii jest niskie tarcie, a skonstruowane w oparciu o nią łożyska nadają się do pracy z dużymi prędkościami.
